You walk as fast as you can from the mall, not even noticing the unintentionally sexy sway you add to your walk, a side effect of your mom’s last wish. The click of your heels is familiar in the most alien way, and you desperately want to escape it.
You’re relieved to escape the mall, thinking you’re home free, but as you head towards your car, you hear two people arguing.
“You’re such an ass!” A girl snaps at the guy she’s wishing, smacking him with her purse. “I’m not some sex toy for you to ogle!”
He snarls, jabbing a finger at…you? “I wish I was dating someone like her instead, someone who’d just do what I say without arguing all the time!”
You turn to try and flee, praying the swap won’t do what you’re afraid it will, but it’s too late. One moment, you’re striding towards your car; the next, you’re standing where his girlfriend was, watching as she begins to head into the mall, like it was always her intention to come shop alone.
“Babe,” the guy says impatiently. You nervously turn to look at him.
