Eric was conscious for those few days; trying not to believe that the stupid dragon had turned him into one of his own filthy kind. Being stubborn, Eric refused to hatch from the egg, even though he was very cramped. There was not wiggle room, and no light was able to penetrate the egg's hard shell. Eric, however, could feel something rub up against his head every once in awhile.
And, this something wanted out. After those few days past, Eric could hear the soft sound of scratching. Eric was powerless to stop whoever was chipping away at his egg. It wasn't long before there was a loud crack. The shell practically fell away as light reached Eric's young dragon eyes.
He could only make out shapes at first, then colors, and finally his vision returned. Not daring to look at his body, Eric gazed around the... cave he was in.
Looking down, he could see the shattered reminiscent of his egg. To his left was the huge opening of the cave. Excited, Eric quickly tried jumping to his feet so he could waltz on out of the cave. However, his excitement was cut short.
When he tried to jump up, he didn't get up too high; half of his body felt like a lead weight. Now wanting to know what was holding him back, he looked to his right. Eric was surprised to see another hatching staring back at him. In his surprise, he tried to jump away from it, with the same result.
Eric was furious now. He believed that this stupid creature was holding him down. He shifted his glare down to his body, so he could see where this thing was laying on him. To his shock, the other dragon was attached to him. He and this dragon were a two-headed dragon.
