"Mom told me. You'd like being a girl better than a boy, John" she says, trying to give you a big hug. You know you can't dodge away from her forever, so you're glad both Mel and Hayley grab her.
"Hannah, this isn't funny. It isn't something that could be undone. It is John's choice. I agree he will eventually fully change" Mel says, making you wince, "but I won't let you do anything. Also girl-John will be a witch, and I imagine not very happy with you. I don't know if Mom told you, but together, John and my powers are increased more than any normal witch, and far more stable than would I would normally be. If you do anything to John deliberately, I swear I'l turn you into..."
Hannah looks at, Mel, Hayley, then you terrified. She knows she doesn't have powers yet, and the idea of Mel changing her, most likely into a boy, scares her. "Sorry" she says, before scuttling off.
Once she is clear, you turn to your twin. "I almost thought you was serious" you say. She shrugs. "That will buy you some time, but you know what will eventually happen." You nod grimly. "I know, but I'll determined not to change soon."
