You always been told "Never accept a bet you can't follow through with", and this is one of them. While you're sure you can beat Mel easily, you don't want to risk it, since you've spotted Hayley looking at the dress store opposite the arcade.
"No way. I see what you want me to wear if I lose." you say to Hayley. Hayley grins "Sure?", and you nod.
It turns out to be a good move, since somehow, Mel beats you 7-6 at air hockey. You're puzzled since she is normally useless, but everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Mel just looks at you, shakes her head and says "Pity". You're just glad, you lose bragging rights and not something worse.
"Mel and I want to go shopping. Want to come?" Hayley asks rhetorically. You shake your head, and decide to go home. "There must be other ways to find out her secret" you muse to yourself as you walk home.
Once you arrive, you see Harry waiting for you. "Hey, John. Where have you been?" he asks. "Hayley's back. We went over to the mall, and she is still there." you reply. Harry grins since he likes your sister (as a friend). "Is she still being mysterious?"
"Yeah. She tried to offer me a bet. Her tell me her secret, or I wear whatever they want. Since they were looking at the dress store, I refused. Good thing I did. Mel actually managed to beat me".
"Mel beat you?" he says surprised. He then gets up, and heads towards your bedrooms. Instead of yours, he opens Hayley's door. "What are you doing, Harry? If she finds out..."
"You want to find out her secret? Lets look for it" he says
