This choice: ... a mysterious liquid which began to fill up the room! • Go Back... The hole in the ceiling began to grind open, the grating noise of stone moving against stone setting the mage's nerves on edge and making her dread the trap she'd stumbled into even more. The gap in the stone had barely opened before the nature of the trap was laid bare to the battlemage, a steady stream of clear, golden liquid already beginning to cascade down from above.
Hikari looked about the room quickly, desperate for any way out of the trapped room, but the door behind her was sealed shut and the one across from her was already grinding closed as well. Realizing the snare had already been sprung and that avoiding the trap was no longer an option, she knew her options were limited to brute force alone. Her years studying to be a battlemage had not only taught her a wealth of magical knowledge, but strategy as well, and Hikari's analytical mind quickly went to work.
"Come on now, think Hikari! What have you gotten yourself into...?" The magician muttered to herself, eyes glancing from the sealed doors to the stream of liquid from above, the flow increasing in volume as the hole widened wider and wider, "Either there's a way out or it's already too late..."
Already the liquid was pouring across the cobbles and rushing past her boots. It pooled viscously about her feet before hitting the walls behind and around her, beginning to rise up the height of the room now that it had nowhere else to go. The chamber was much too small for Hikari's liking, and she knew that if she didn't think of a solution fast she'd be literally in over her head in mere minutes. Her decision to use brute force had lead her to two options: Try and blast her way through one of the doors, or try and gulp the flow of liquid down before it simply drowned her.
One was clearly preferable to the other, and wasting little time Hikari began to channel her arcane energies towards the palms of her hands.
"Not my brightest idea I guess, but sometimes the simplest solution is the best one!" Hikari said, grinning as her hands began to glow with a warm orange light.
Soon the woman's hands held dancing flames within their grasp, and she clasped her palms together, focusing the magical inferno into a much more powerful fireball. Taking a few steps back from her target, Hikari took a deep breath.
"Here goes nothing!" She shouted before casting the fireball at the doorway she'd entered from, the magic spell impacting against the stone slab with a whooshing blast that momentarily blinding the girl.
Hikari averted her gaze a moment before looking back at the door, blinking away the spots that clouded her vision. Unfortunately for her, Hikari's words had been more prophetic than she realized, her spell leaving barely a scorch against the still solid stone door. Soon the scorch began to disappear, the black mark fading away into smaller scorches before disappearing entirely. Not only had Hikari's spell barely scratched her prison, but what little damaged had been done seemed to have healed itself through some enchantment placed on the room itself...
"Guess destruction magic never was my strong suit..." Hikari groaned, her heart sinking as she watched the damage repair itself within moments, "But that's just not fair. Looks like there's only one was out of this now..."
In the time she had wasted trying to blow open the door, the flood of liquid had already reached her knees and was rising far too quickly. Whoever had devised this trap had clearly been more cunning than Hikari had thought, intent that whoever entered this room wasn't going to leave it without getting a taste of that strange liquid...
Hikari was still reluctant to consider her second option, but she had no other choice and there were at least ways the Battlemage could still mitigate the damage. The woman was no fool and knew the tales of the Lipomancer well. Whatever this stuff was, it was going to wreak havoc on her figure but she too was cunning and thought ahead. Not only would her tattoos aid her in lifting whatever weight she did have to gain from this trap, but she knew a few cantrips that would alter her digestive processes. As she traced new lines on her exposed stomach with blue pigment, adding to the pattern that already covered it, she could only hope that the spell would have its desired effects this time...
"Here goes... something!" Hikari said before stepping up to what was now a waterfall of golden fluid, her mouth opened wide let the stream fill her maw.
The taste was sweet, reminiscent less of honey and more of mead or some type of liqeuer as it flooded her mouth and was gulped down her throat. Thankfully the liquid didn't seem to actually be alcoholic, but was no less intoxicating as its flavors overwhelmed the Battlemage's tastebuds. Despite her unwillingness to even taste the fluid at first, Hikari soon found herself moaning in delight as the rich, sweet substance oozed down her throat and into her belly...
Gulp after gulp was swallowed and still the flow continued. Hikari began to lose track of time as he throat bulged and her belly curved further and further outwards. Soon her chubby paunch had domed into a swollen gut, round and warm... the sensation so soothing and relaxing...
Hikari gagged suddenly as she snapped out of her daze, heart pounding in a panic. She had no idea how long she'd been guzzling down the fluid, but she realized that her shirt and skirt now clung to her much more tightly and her belly bulged in front of her as though she were nine months pregnant with triplets. Sweat dripped from every pore, steam even rising from the woman's hot skin, proof that her spell was working. The Battlemage had spent weeks practicing spells that could subtly manipulate one's metabolism, and the magic runes she'd drawn on her belly had made sure that no matter how much she swallowed her stomach would not burst from the flow. Almost as important as this however, the spell would also ensure that a large portion of the calories she ingested would instead be burned into a fine mist, left to waft harmlessly through the hole in the ceiling instead of piling onto her body as fat.
However Hikari was no master and this spell fell under the domain of Lipomancy, proscribed knowledge for those who practiced the arcane. This meant that her knowledge of the finer details were incomplete, and that not only did the spell not prevent her from gaining weight entirely but also that the effects would be all too temporary...
The Battlemage groaned as she grabbed at her swollen belly. Already the young woman had fattened noticeably, especially in the hips and butt, and she estimated that her total weight would be at around 200 pounds by now... almost fifty pounds heavier than when she entered the trap. Hikari felt her skin begin to cool, a sign that her spell was wearing off and that if she didn't stop drinking she'd soon gain a hell of a lot more weight than that. The Battlemage was already beginning to regret this course of action and began to steel her resolve to pull away from the flow of liquid and its entrancing flavor... when she found that she could not move her feet.
Looking down, Hikari saw to her horror that runes surrounded her feet, dark purple circles that glowed from beneath the flood of liquid as their foul magics worked to immobilize her. The woman screamed in both rage and terror as she strained uselessly to lift her legs out of the magical traps, not even able to lift her boots an inch from the floor.
"Curse you, Lipomancer!" Hikari growled, arcane energies now dancing between her fingers before she sent bolts of magic surging into the runes beneath her.
Once more, Hikari's destructive spell seemed to have no effect. Worse still, as the bolts struck the runes, they surged brighter with purple light before sending the energy back towards the mage's hands. Hikari found her wrists snared in bright purple arcs of energy that connected to the ceiling, forming similar circles of runes over the cobbles above her. Now, not only were all of the woman's limbs immobilized, but thanks to the position she found herself in, her head was directly under the relentless flow of liquid.
Hikari gagged and sputtered as the golden fluid rushed over her face and filled her mouth and nostrils. Briefly the Battlemage entertained the idea of again trying some other spell to escape, but if there were any other way out of the trap, she couldn't think of it. Besides, all things considered she might need to save her mana, especially if she needed that arcane energy to help retain her mobility when the trap was through. Her tattoos would help to some extent, but who knew how long they could hold out?
With the threat of drowning even more immediate, Hikari seemingly had no choices left other than drink or die...
