Wearing a Ring

She's wearing a ring with a big clear diamond on it. The ring is gold with swirling patterns on it. "Where'd you get that ring" you say. "from a chest in the attic with grandmas name on it. Its just a piece of junk though, the diamond is fake and the ring is just iron painted gold" she replies.
"can I have a look at that please" you ask,
"sure, keep it if you want, it doesn't suit me anyway".
She walks out of the room and you look at the ring more closely.
