Blah blah blah

Amanda typed in the word "Blah", and pressed enter.

She turned over to Rachel and David and tried to ask them, "So how do you feel now?" but all that came out was "Blah blah blah blah blah blah?" She was surprised and cupped her hands over her mouth.

Rachel replied "Blah-blah-blah, blah blah...blah blah blah??"
This would have translated to, "Amanda, are you...what the hell??"

However, Amanda understood Rachel, as if she was fluent in this new "blah blah blah" language. She then told the others that despite their inability to speak in their native tongue in this reality, they could still understand each other. Rachel wondered what would happen if they tried to speak this new language. They were attempting to speak English, but all that came out was "blah blah blah". She then tried to speak this new language.
"Amanda, I'm going to speak in this new language. Can you understand me now?"

People started looking at the group.

Amanda told Rachel that the people there though it was normal, and that they would be confused if they tried speaking English.
