No luck with the summer outfit either

A week had gone by since Chie had her lunch with Yukiko, and every day since then either Yukiko or somebody else had invited her out to have lunch, and each of them had awkwardly stumbled around the subject of her weight gain but none of them had managed to address the issue. Chie had no idea why she was suddenly getting all this attention from her friends, but she didn't mind the free meals.
"Alright, finally its hot enough to try out my summer clothes," said Chie as she took off her PJs and started rummaging through her clothes. Normally she didn't care about clothes or fashion no matter what time of the year it was, but she knew that her mom hadn't washed her summer liesure clothes yet so they'd still fit. She was tired of being forced to wear all her winter clothes that were now three sizes too small. She pulled out her clothes and was so excited she did a little dance to herself in her underwear, unaware of how much her stomach and rear were shaking.
She pulled up her short blue pants and to her horror quickly discovered that they didn't go all the way up. "Oh you have got to be kidding me," she said about to cry. "Come on, come on," she chanted as she wedged the short shorts up inch by inch until it wedged snugly under her stomach. "I guess it was just my imagination," she said unaware of the fact that her pants were now wedged far up her backside. She then moved on to her green tank top and pulled it over her head. The large arm holes and neck allowed her to slide it over her fat body as easily as it went over her thinner form. "Now that's more like it, nice to be back in my old..." she stopped as she looked in the mirror. Her tank top now stopped just under her breast, like she was wearing a green sports bra. "Oh no. I can't believe it. Mom! You shrunk these ones too," she shouted downstairs as she stomped her foot and shook her arms.
"But honey I haven't even washed you summer..." shouted her mom from downstairs. She didn't get a chance to finish as Chie shut the door, sat down and pouted. She had been looking forward to wearing comfortable clothes so much that now she wanted to cry.
She quickly picked up the phone and called Yukiko. And even though Chie had gone into one of her hysterical crying and yelling fits like she was known to do, Yukiko could still make out that she wanted to meet so she could talk in person. Chie hurried off to the Inaba shopping district and sat down outside the steak shop and ordered two plates to hold her over as she waited. After she finished she looked down the street and saw Yukiko.
