"Okay, Frank...let's get on with it," John said.
Frank pulled his pink robe over his nightgown tighter to cover up the tops of his breasts. "I think we still have them in range," he said, referring to the neighbor mother and daughter, who were slowly walking down the street. "Although, I really have no idea what kind of range this thing has." He turned and looked smugly at John, as he held up his powerful prize that he discovered in the parking lot of his former workplace.
John thought, "He has no idea how upset I am about his switch, or he doesn't believe that it even happened. I've got to get the device from him."
"Okay, Frank...let me touch the gizmo before you fire it at the ladies so I can see the change," John said as he reached toward the device.
Frank accommodated John by stepping closer to him, and just as he got within arm's reach John tried to snatch the device away. Frank, though, was too fast.
"Whoa, bro! What are you doing?! You might cause it to fall and break, dude!" Frank cried out. Then in a quieter voice he said, "So, you're trying to take the device from me, huh? Are you still wanting to swap me with your wife?"
"Frank...I still don't think you understand...you have my wife's body. This is disturbing beyond words for me seeing my brother's head on my wife's shoulders. It's downright creepy, man."
"John...," Frank said as he looked at his brother in the eye. "I thought you might be yanking my chain earlier about swapping, but you do seem freaked out. Look...I believe that you believe that I have Rachel's body, or else you're a damned good actor. Or...this device affected your reality, because my reality is that I have the body I've always had."
"Frank...you've got to believe me...you have to swap back with Rachel."
Just then Rachel came up behind John and put her large masculine hands under his arms and on his chest as she hugged him tight. "I have coffee for you two kids whenever you're ready." Then she took a hand and put it on John's cheek, turning his head so that she could give him a peck on the other cheek. She seemed so tall to John as he cringed from the contact with his brother's body. Rachel's voice and presence seemed right, but so much about the encounter seemed wrong.
As Rachel walked back in, still wearing what Frank had worn over to the house that morning, baggy blue jeans and an oversized, untucked flannel shirt, that bulged at her belly, John glanced at Frank, who was grinning. "You two seem fine to me, bro," he said. "I believe that I might need to get out of here so you two can have some alone time. She seems ready for some action."
"That's not Rachel's body," John grunted again. "And I'm not going to sleep with her as long as she has it!"
"Look, John...I'm sorry for the comment I made about Rachel's body earlier. So she's got a bit of a spare tire... so what? Just because I don't want my head on her body doesn't mean that I don't find her sexy. She really is an attractive woman."
John by this time was exasperated, and Frank could easily see that his brother was more upset than ever.
"I have an idea," Frank said...
