Nobody knows how the Larigynit Isotope came into being. Some say that it had always been in existence. Others say that it was human experimentation with atomic energy that brought it into being.
Regardless, more than two decades ago, the Naisatoh Corporation isolated the isotope, and then let it get out of its containment field. The end result was that, nine months later, nine female babies were born microsized. All would grow up to be approximately six inches tall, and all came from specific genetic backgrounds.
Each one had a father of Northern European Stock (your father is third generation Irish-American), all had a mother from East Asia (your mother was born and raised in Japan), and all were conceived within five miles of Naisatoh Corporation Laboratories.
As it happens, all of the nine tiny girls had been staying that fateful night at the Fallen Mist Inn for a romantic getaway.
Skip two decades ahead, and nine twenty-year old girls and their families are living in a very luxurious gated community provided and maintained by Naisatoh Corp. All nine of you are only children, who receive the best online education possible, supplemented by in person tutoring.
(Which is how you met Mike. He was a grad student tutoring you when you were fourteen, and you developed a crush on him. Sadly, all your tutoring sessions were chaperoned, and there was always a glass barrier between you two).
All nine of you socialize together in some way or another, though you don't always necessarily get along. You each receive an annual checkup from a female doctor, and you all bear a remarkable physical similarity.
No, you don't all look alike, but you do have similar body types. Being shrunken does wonders for your metabolism, so you all have fit, trim bodies. Your bustlines are definitely not modest. If you were regular sized, you'd all be wearing DD cup sizes. And they defy gravity.
And you all have long, dark, silky hair that reaches down to the small of your back. And that's a weird thing. It won't grow any longer, but if you try to dye it, or cut it, it reverts back to normal within a few days. So most of you have stopped trying to change it. Well, your fellow tiny Masumi goes through periods where she tries to fight it, hacking it, shaving it off, dying it blue, but it never works.
But that's a different story entirely.
Anyway, your mother catches you off guard when she mentions they want to marry you off to Mike, and from what you understand, Mike is all for it.
"So this is really going to happen?" you ask incredulously, but also secretly pleased. It's been a couple of years since you've seen him, but Mike was a blonde haired blue eyed fair skinned Adonis.
