"Quick! Grand Vizier!" A voice urgently addresses you. "Everyone's ready for the celebration; you don't want to be late." You look up and see a man clad in purple robes standing over your bed; you're confused by his words but it must be very important. Clearly you are not in your original home.
You rise and get dressed, after insisting on doing it yourself, in gold robes with white threads running through them to give them a more flashy and fluid appearance compared to plain gold. You follow the man out of what must be your bedroom as far as anyone here is concerned and ask him about what he's told you.
"You must've been ever so excited," He comments, "For you to forget the facts. It is the New Year; the celebration of creation, when the divine god brought forth all that exists." You're not really sure what he's referring to.
"Who is the great god to whom you refer?" You ask him, nerouvs about what could happen just for asking that.
"Why, the most powerful being ever known. Protector of life and giver of joy. His name invokes awe, respect and happiness in all who speak and hear it... Hovalla." You admit that the name of the god is a most heroic-sounding name.
Finally you enter a large hall within the temple; it is ever so vast that it's a wonder alone in how so much space can be found under one roof without it caving in. At the other end of the hall is a most impressive statue; a very realistic anthropomorphic lion statue at least 200 feet high. You figure that it must be a portrayal of Hovalla.
"It's not to scale." Your priest-guide informs you.
"I can believe that." You comment, thinking how many civilisations have built statues of gods much bigger than they believed the gods to really be.
"Don't worry," He continues, "His divine greatness is always ready to deliver information and awe to those who forget." You wonder what happens now.
The priest-guide signals for you to go up to the statue. It is a long walk across the hall over marble tiles. As you head towards the statue you hear priests entering behind you, obviously ready to perform the ceremony. Finally you come to the foot of the statue and decide to turn. You see that a major consignment of priests have congregated in the hall and are forming ranks in the vast space.
