A Good Behavior Reward

    by: Markus Author IconMail Icon
Alex brings the bottle down very slowly so he does not spill any of it. He tightens the lid back up then grabs the other bottle. Alex then takes them over to his teacher. "Here you go," says Alex as he hands them to her. "Thanks," she replies. Ms. Cruz is very happy that Alex has taken the time to come say goodbye to her and help around the classroom. She wants to give him a reward for his good behavior. Ms. Cruz takes the two large bottles Alex gave her and pours some of each into two smaller containers. She fills them up and puts lids on top. "Hey Alex, how would you like to have a little more fun this summer? I have two really neat mixtures right here. I was able to create a formula that can change people's sizes. This bottle here can make you smaller while the other one makes you grow. You just need to drop a little onto your skin. You could also put it into food or a drink. What do you think?"

Alex thinks his teacher is messing with him and just plays it off. "That's pretty funny Ms. Cruz. I bet that red liquid is just Koolaid," says Alex. "Alex, I am serious. I have already grown to 10 feet tall, and shrunk myself back down. It really works! I just want to give you a reward for being such a good student," she says. Alex wants to believe her story, but it sounds so far fetched. But, she has never lied to him before. Alex looks at her face in an attempt to read her and she doesn't seem to be joking. Alex then looks down at the bottles and thinks about what he might be able to use them for. "Uh, okay. Thanks Ms. Cruz." Alex stuffs the bottles into his pocket. She hands him a dropper just in case he needs one. "Well, I will miss you Alex," says Ms. Cruz as she holds out her arms. The two embrace and Alex is surprised by how tight his teacher holds him. They let go and Alex turns a bright shade of red. "Now Alex, be careful with that stuff. When you use it, make sure everything is under control. And, don't tell anyone I gave it to you, okay?" "Who gave me what? I don't even know what you are talking about," teases Alex. "Good boy," replies Ms. Cruz. "Ohh, let me give you my phone number in you have any questions or whatever....," says Alex's teacher as writes the number down. "Here you go! Bye Alex!" "Bye Ms. Cruz, you're a great teacher!" Alex waves goodbye and walks out of the classroom. Ms. Cruz thinks to herself for a moment, hoping she made a good decision. Next,

You have the following choices:

1. Alex walks home

2. Alex goes by a friend's house

3. Alex stops somewhere and tries one of the formulas
