Alex starts walking home in an extremely good mood because of being done with high school. He feels free for once and looks forward to having some time off. He starts thinking about all the stuff he wants to do like banging his girlfriend, going to parties, and of course sleeping in. His mind then goes back to the formulas his teacher gave him and he wonders if there is any truth to them.
"That's so strange that she gave them to me...it must be some kind of end year prank. I mean, it sounds like something out of Alice and wonderland," he thinks. He is about a block away from a small store that he likes to pop into to get snacks and is feeling a little thirsty. While heading to the store, Alex stops for a moment and decides to give one of the formulas a try.
