Gaining trust

No where near good enough. You butchers! Your kind has been hunting us for ages. I need proof you are not bluffing just to lower my guard" The dragon stood up to full height.
"How must I show you I can be trusted?" you asked, starting to feel the fear swell in your body. The dragon stooped.
"Kill a soldier. Bring me back his head" the dragon replied. You could tell the tension was high, for the dragons breath has gone from a warm breeze to a hot vapor, making you sweat. A flair could be seen inside his nostrils.
Not wanting to upset the dragon, the only response that came to mind was, "How?"
Use your magic. I know you are capable, for I have seen you use it to shut the cavern entrance and I can see the aura of magic growing inside of you." The dragon paused, standing back up. "Follow any path and you will eventually come to a exit that has been sealed by rockfall or magic. A wizard, like you should be able to open it." The dragon said, so assured that you would not start an argument. Who in the right mind would argue with a dragon? But I did not want to have to kill an ally. Even though their intentions are wrong they were still humans. They may not have been the friendliest to you, but to kill your own kind just wasn't right. Doing this would throw their slight trust in you away for probably the same amount of trust in a dragon. Maybe I can trick the dragon but it seems he can sense magic.
Well, I have two options, I leave the cave and will eventually have to kill a comrade or trick the dragon into thinking I killed one. Or, I can stay here and try to convince the dragon that there is another option. However, I must do something fast, for the heat in the area is making me dizzy.
