Steve's memories brought him back to his youth. It was when he first met Sharlena that his life started going down hill. Not only was she his ex-wife but also his abusive neighbor. Every since they were kids Sharlena would beat him up and force him to do her dirty work. For days she would whip Steve with a belt as he cleaned her whole house for her. When they were children her parents were never home to witness how she would abuse her own peers. Steve started sweating as he remembered his forced marriage to that she-devil. It was then that he started drinking and gaining weight. He didn't have any children because Sharlena would force herself to have a miscarriage just to psychologically mess with Steve. The divorce was probably the happiest day of his life. It was on that day that Sharlena almost killed him with a gun. Fortunately his neighbor who was a cop saw what was really going on and arrested his ex-wife for attempted murder. The next day he filed for a divorce.
He won the case but was in debt to his lawyer. It was that same debt that got him evicted. Steve rubbed his girthy stomach as he contemplated what he should do. Without a job he wouldn't be able to date any woman. His size wasn't an issue and he had a good deal of muscle, except he suffered from high blood pressure. It wasn't a surprise since he acquired it when he married that she-devil of an ex-wife. Also he seen a lot of men his size get hitched nowadays. His stomach gurgled out of hunger.
