This online collection of cultural stories, poems and essays is unique.
*Books3* This book is a collection of cultural Black stories, set in the now and forty years ago. The first set, On A Mission, contains numerous stories: Mother Smith, Annie-May,Clara-Jean,Itty-Bitty-Ol'-Nasty Man, And The Mighty Zay-eusm are the main ones. These are witty sometimes sad characters, that find their way to carry-forth.
The book also contains cultural poems, essays, and prose. Most of the stories are being created, as I post them, it is a raw blog. I am interacting with my readers taking suggestions for stories, finding out about their interests. It is a work in progress, I go through my stories and smooth then out. It's for fun, some of my stories may eventually find their way into it. The blog is casual and conversational, urban musings. I keep a blog, with the book, to keep readers posted. There are, teaser, excerpts chapters, from my book.
Tales & Myths from The Inner city, a work in progress..The Paperback version, of the book is being smooth out, and edited, and marketed. I featured some of the concepts from this book, on T-shirts, mugs and other gifts : http:www.Zazzle.com/qmarpat. Thanks, I look forward to supporting you, too! Stop by my blog, and say,"Hello". I entitled this entire entry, On A Mission. You've read about people, trying to get through the unemployment office. People, who were trying to hold on,and families that are trying to make it. We are heading toward one hundred on the entries. I have decided to inject, a little humor for a change of pace. The entries, from here up to the hundred mark, will be funny poems, prose, short stories, and any other silliness, i find suitable. I'm going to add some images, something, nice, some funny and colorful.

I loved writing, Saving Self. It got a little heavy in the middle, I tried to add some humor. I could imagine, Derrick going on to, rehab, Juanita trying to regroup. And them pulling their marriage back together. It was a start, that's what I was shooting for
I think in my next, stories or poem, or prose, I'll do humor. I'm going to brainstorm, if you have some ideas, of something funny from, tv or something let me know.

I had mutiple endinings, for this story, in the oringinal version, Juanita leaves. She comes down stairs and tells them to get out, and then she goes to the back house. I didn't have the part in there, where he comes and puts his head on her lap, and tries to comfort her. That part changed the whole story, it was his way of confessing his problems. She knew he drunk too much, that just confirmed it. I used that as a basis, for her to help him. I enjoyed writing it. Thanks for reading.

Today the story, Saving Self ended. It was the final story in the five story collection, "Change". It may find itself in my second book in the series, of Tales and Myths of the innercity. The first book was just published available on amazon.com. The second one may be out in December. I hoped the ending of this story didn't let you down. Ididn't want it to be all sweet and light. Thanks for reading!

Well-well-well, here we are approaching the end of the story. It was such great fun to write, I know Juanita and Derrick will go on arguing in the back shelfs of my mind. I think they will work things out, I don't want to spoil the surprise, but it won't be a happily ever after, but they can work on it.
Talk to you later-rixxie

I won't say the plot thickens, but it does! I'm glad to see that Derrick, is human. I was worried, about the man for a while. I thought she was going to have to whip out her, whip. Back, Conga, back into your cage I say! Thank goodness. He got so evil, for a while i couldn't deal with him, I had to lay the manuscript aside for weeks. I kid you not, I've heard science fiction writers, say they had to take a break.

Well, what do you know, ol' Derrick has a sensitive side after all. He seems very concerned about, Juanita having, " stomach flu", wait until he finds out it's not the flu.

Juanita, is always trashing her husband, but is she drinking? I don't think so, I think it's all attitude, she's just mad. I like the relationship she has with her own family, her sisters and mother. We will see mor of Derricks' family, and the plot thickens......

I struggled with the next part of, Saving Self. I had to walk away from it for two weeks, before I could continue. It involves, Derrick, finally getting caught, but not like you think. I wanted t, to be the event that moved the story, Juanita forward. I didn't want it to be so horrible, that it turned the readers off. I don't want to give up, the surprize, but I threw a little humor in, to tone it down. Read on.....
