IT HAPPENED! I was in medical school Some forty years ago, I then heard a song which did Somewhat on these lines go: “Que sera sera, look what Will be, will be,will be”. But how the future would mould I could never this see. I was concerned in those days, Also, in later years. That women would talk to me, About this I had fears. I was not a ladies’ man. To get their attention, I tried hard but yet I failed Despite much invention. Lo and behold! Poetry, Though not tried with that aim, Has brought on writing.com An e-mail from a dame! Mavis Moog has suggested That I may condescend To grant her an interview. It happened in the end! So, here was a lady who Approached me on her own, After on the internet I had my poems shown Though throughout the life I may Never get to see her Yet an internet chat or Interview I prefer! * Written in abcb 7-6-7-6 format * This poem was written when I got the invitation mail from Mavis Moog, Mavis Moog . She requested me to bar it from public view till the interview was over. The interview did take place. It was rather 'spiky', as she put it. The outcome of her spiky travails can be seen at "Khalish talks with Mavis Moog". M C Gupta 30 March 2005. Made public, 20 May 2005. |
