Friendship

A write up on true friendship and finding one.

Friendship is loving, caring and sharing,
It is knowing, feeling and understanding,
It is being there when you are needed,
Ultimately, friends are brought together by God.


Abraham was an upright man,
He loved, cared and shared with God,
He had all the qualities of a friend,
Thus, he was called a friend of God.


Friends don't just say the words, "I care",
But in saying that, they should do it as well,
For care has a much deeper meaning,
Than just uttering the words, " I care".


CARE in the real sense of the word is,
Challenging your friend in a good way,
Affirming the value of your friend,
Respecting your friend no matter what,
Encouraging your friend all the way.


Do two walk together unless they agree?
And two are better than one,
There's a friend who sticks closer than a brother,
So in having a true friend you are fulfilling the words of the scripture.


As iron sharpens iron,
So are two friends to each other,
When you need a friend wait on God,
And He will surely bring one into your life.
