A Grokster Suess style story about Home Improvement |
In the town of Tool-Time-Town, where the hammers all sing, Lived a man named Tim Taylor, the Fix-It-Up King. With his wife, Jill, so clever, and three boys in a row, Randy, Brad, and Mark, how their antics would grow! Tim had a show, oh, a marvelous sight, Called Tool Time, broadcast both day and night. With Al, his pal, in a flannel so neat, They’d build and they’d saw, oh, what a feat! “More power!” Tim cried, with a grunt and a grin, He’d tweak every gadget, make engines begin. But oh, what a mess, when the sparks flew too high, A toaster exploded—toast rained from the sky! Jill rolled her eyes, with a laugh and a sigh, “Tim, my dear, must you always ask why? A shelf could be simple, a chair could just sit, But you turn it to chaos with each little bit!” The boys, they would tumble, they’d tussle, they’d play, Randy with quips, Brad with kicks every day. Little Mark, so quiet, would watch with a stare, While Tim’s latest gizmo blew up in the air. Next door lived old Wilson, a sage with a hat, He’d peek o’er the fence, saying, “Tim, think of that! A man’s not his tools, nor the noise that he makes, But the love in his home, and the care that he takes.” Through bangs and through booms, through each wild repair, The Taylors stuck close, a family so rare. For though Tim might blunder, and wires might fry, Their hearts were the glue that no wrench could deny. So here’s to Tool-Time-Town, where the drills always hum, Where laughter and lessons in heaps would come. Tim Taylor, the Grokster, with grunt and with cheer, Built more than just projects—he built love every year! |
