A girl feels confused by new emotions for another girl, wondering if she feels the same.

Something New

I don't know why my heart beats fast When she laughs, when she walks past.
It's never been like this before,
A feeling soft, yet something more.

The way she tucks her hair just right,
Golden strands that catch the light.
Her voice, a song, so warm, so bright,
Pulls me in like stars at night.

I watch her lips curve when she grins,
A spark beneath my fragile skin. Her hand brushes mine--just a spark,
Yet it lingers deep and leaves a mark.

A secret only I might know?
I never thought I'd feel this way,
A warmth that steals my breath away.
Her eyes meet mine--just for a beat,
And suddenly, I lose my feet.

The way she hums soft, simple tunes.
I wonder if she sees it too,
The way my world turns from gray to bright blue.

But a feeling like this--I've never known,
A path unmarked, yet fully grown.
And still, my heart won't let her go--
It only whispers, let her know.

But if she turns, if she sees too,
Would she feel something just as new?
