What’s a dirty cowl?

What in the world is a dirty cowl!
Do you have to contact a veterinarian? Talk to a rancher or farmer? Who even knows if they have a dirty cowl?

I had a cowl that was full of dead leaves. A cowl is a vent that’s under your vehicle hood next to the windshield. If you have trees in and around your residence you may have some dead leaves in your cowl. Go ahead and pop your hood open. If your cowl is full of debris go ahead and just say it. “You dirty cowl!”

This cowl is supposed to be kept clear of debris. It drains water from the windshield and may help with ventilation of your engine compartment. It serves a purpose and dead leaves eventually may cause corrosion.

Inspect your cowl and if they’re dirty pull that debris out. I used a wet/dry vacuum to clean mine up.
But you can also do it by hand. It just takes a couple of minutes.
