For only the next five months, we'll be the same age. |
Squeek, darling, once again, as we do every year, we'll be the same age for the five months between your birthday and mine. The last time we were able to make use of those few months of equal age, was when we eloped in 1968. We did it one week before my birthday, while we were both 19. I never gave it a thought at the time; I was too distracted by our plans, and too wrapped up in the idea that we would soon be together forever, to have that come to mind. But, since you went Home to be with our Lord, in 1980, I've thought about it every year, and I like that it ended up that way. Sweetheart, soon our story will be told, so that others can learn from our life together, and our strong faith, and be able to enrich their own relationships. I look forward to that day, and to the day when I will join you, and your family, around His Throne, and we'll all be together, and with Him, for eternity. I am comforted in the meantime, by the knowledge that all of you are now together, once again, and I can only imagine the wonderful stories, and memories, of our years as a family, that all of you are sharing right now. Till I see you again, sweetheart, Rest in Peace, my wonderfully devoted wife and soulmate. And darling, the love we share means I must borrow your wonderful closing line, that you so lovingly placed at the very end of every single note and letter you ever wrote me throughout our 14 years together, and use it to close this loving note to you. P.S. I LOVE YOU! |
