Spring has sprung a unique psychological color
There are lemons on glasses
And grapes in the salad
And the garden outside
Is springtime vivid.

Bright as malachite, an ornate leaf
Shines from the stained glass window
But the garden beyond has deeper hues of jade.

Under the lilac, there’s a sprig of mint
Sweet and sharp by the scent of it
And to me it’s everything green has meant.
