blamed in every grief, and rarely loved when it brings relief
There they come: the dark clouds of old
like a giant whale up above, casting its shadow, such a sight to behold
did you arrive as a warning about our sins, or as a blessing for this land?
may it be the latter, for I can feel the ground below like a beggar extending his hand
and I for one long for that scent when your water embraces the earth
such a relaxing feeling, one that is worthy of a long, much needed breath
and now the rain falls: not aggressive, but as if greeting us with a smile
how I've waited for this reunion, every time it feels like it's been a while
they said you're crying along the grievers, O heavenly water from above
they said you're the background of a sad scene, usually for those who struggle with love
yet here I am, standing while you're pouring, with nothing to cover
after all, since when you greet friends with gloves, as if strangers from one another
and though this meeting warms my heart, sadly I might end up with a cold
but hey it was worth it, for those drops are more precious to me than gold
So welcome again, playful friend of life
I hope you stay a little longer this time, so that the land grows green and bright
Do your magic, enchant us with a show of sceneries, free for anyone to see
with our homes as front row seats, and snacks in the form of a soup, or a warm coffee
