A quirky poem making fun of knock knock jokes.
Knock-knock! Who's there?
I open the door without a care.

Orange! Orange who?
I'm afraid I don't know you.

I didn't say banana! Orange you glad?
Ha-ha! Why did I laugh? This joke is bad.

Knock-knock! Who's there?
I open the door without a care.

Boo! ... I screamed in surprise!
My hands went up with widened eyes!

Boo who? I know I didn't cry!
Ha-ha! I laughed again, but why?

Knock-knock! Who's there?
I open the door without a care.

I don't care who's standing there.
Of your jokes, I am aware!

Who are you? ...I am he.
I am he who? ...I am me.

Who is he that is knocking?
Who am I that is mocking?

Who am I that is he?
I am whoever I want to be.

Knock-knock! Who is there?
Never mind! I no longer care!
