An article to highlight importance of marriage in our society.
Marriage is Holy,.........Marriage is a sacred bond between two individuals, a promise to love, honor, and cherish each other until death do them part. It is a union that is recognized and celebrated in many cultures around the world. In today's society, where divorce rates are on the rise, the true meaning and significance of marriage seem to be fading away. However, it is important to remember that marriage is not just a legal contract but a holy union that should be cherished and respected. Marriage is considered holy in many religions and is held in high regard. In Christianity, marriage is seen as a symbol of the relationship between Christ and His church.

Jesus cites Genesis 2:24, stating that a man shall leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh, signifying the deep commitment and unity within marriage. It is a covenant made between two people before God, and it is believed to be a life long commitment.

In Hinduism, marriage is a sacred union that is believed to be essential for spiritual growth and the fulfillment of one's duties.

In Islam, marriage is seen as a way to strengthen the bond between a man and a woman and to build a family based on love, mercy, and kindness. The concept of marriage being holy is not limited to just religious beliefs. In fact, research has shown that married couples tend to live longer, have better physical and mental health, and experience more happiness and fulfillment in life. This can be attributed to the emotional and social support that comes with the commitment of marriage. It is a partnership that provides a sense of security, stability, and companionship.

Marriage is also the foundation of a family, which is the fundamental unit of society. Strong and healthy marriages contribute to a healthy society. It provides a stable environment for children to grow and thrive, and it teaches them important values and principles. A successful marriage also sets an example for future generations, showing them the importance of commitment, communication, and compromise in a relationship. Unfortunately, in today's fast-paced world, the sanctity of marriage is often overlooked.

The media and society in general portray marriage as being disposable and promote a "hook-up" culture. This mentality has led to a decrease in the value and respect for the institution of marriage. However, it is crucial to understand that marriage is not just about two people coming together. It is a commitment to each other and a promise to work through life's challenges together. We must also acknowledge that no marriage is perfect. Like any relationship, it requires effort, patience, and understanding. There will be disagreements and challenges, but it is the commitment to each other and the belief in the holiness of marriage that helps couples overcome these obstacles and strengthen their bond.

Finally, marriage is a holy union that should be valued, respected, and protected. It is a commitment that goes beyond legalities and has a significant impact on individuals, families, and society as a whole. As a society, we need to shift our focus back to the true meaning of marriage and work towards strengthening the sacred bond between partners. Let us not forget that marriage is not just a piece of paper; it is a holy vow that should be cherished and honored for a lifetime.Amen
