It's what's between the lines...
A sparkle
like a smile on a crowded bus,
a wish,
bridges light from ear to neck
to caress her skin
with prismed fingers:
dancer, lover
leaving no prints on the glasses,
soft steps on the floor.

Jealous shadows steal in
her dappled musk,
a secret half-revealed,
a glint atop her breasts;
Dark eyes gleam wide
opening your name.

She is wearing only her diamonds tonight,
and she wants you to leave the light on.
