Small town legend. Free lessons!
No joke. My release date from RCCC, ( Sacramento county branch jail,) was just two days away.

Those days, (@1989) you could smoke cigarettes, we had free weights and handball.

Beats me, but lo' and behold, the deadline for a talent show was the next day.

All spun out I came up with this little diddy, and actually remembered it.

First prize was lhalf of a brown paper grocery bag of candy. I gave most of it away, 'cuz I was three sheets to the wind baby!

Was a cruisin' 'round downtown slingin' my rap

when up pops a kid and says,"What's this crap!"

I said obviously, you don"t know me
I'm a rappin' white boy named 'a Billy Maghee."

He said, "I heard 'o you but I've yet to see
just one white boy who can put rap me."

I said, "Say what you may
and that"s Okay
'cuz this white boy 's servin' lessons today."

He said, "Must be proud to be talkin' so loud
'cuz you're a little white boy on the wrong side O' town."

I said, " This may be true,
but if I was you
I'd sit right down and take a lesson or two

cuz when yo' rap is so smooth
and yo' rhyme is so sweet

you can spit yo game on way damned street!"

well right there and then, the kid began to grin
'cuz he was gettin' schoolin' from the best there's ever been."
