A poem about love, in Abhanga poetry form (described following the poem).
She often can't recall
what she did yesterday.
Her memory's gone gray.
But she still sings.

She often misses words,
and sometimes muffs the tune.
She's fading all too soon.
I'm losing her.

We've been a pair for years,
through joy, regret, and strife.
We've shared a soulful life,
so all's not lost.

One day we'll both be gone.
That's just the way things are.
But she's my shining star.
She lights my way.

Abhanga: stanzaic, written in any number of 4-line stanzas.
> Syllabic, 6-6-6-4 syllables.
> Lines 2 & 3 rhyme. Often internal rhyme is employed.
