Something to ponder as we go through life. |
What do you see when you look toward heaven in your prayers and in your life? Is it the white Jesus picture you see in our churches, movies, magazines, and Sunday school books? Or is it something else? What do you see when you think of Jesus and the paradise that is promised to come? Is it filled with angels, you in the choir, or some other role that you have chosen for yourself? Or is it your time to rest? What do you see when you are in your private space giving thanks, praise, and honor to God? Is it the Biblical description of the paradise that God has promised to go and prepare for you? Or are you a little skeptical about what comes next? No matter what the preacher says or what you have heard, your thoughts on this subject will not matter, for the last word will be in the hands of our creator. The instructions left for us to follow can be found throughout the Bible. Philippians 4:8: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” |
