Jesus Looks After His People




Scripture: John 10:1-30, Revelation 7

Scripture Verse: “”For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their Shepherd.” Revelation 7:17a

God’s Attribute: Preserver. Jesus will not lose any of His people.

Main Truth: Jesus takes care of His people.

Story: “God Is listening, God Is listening, to each word I say, God will hear me, God will hear me, each time I pray. Our hands we fold, our heads we bow, so we can talk to God right now. Thank you, God, for bringing Cain and Abel and Seth…”name each child “here today. Thank you, God, for Your holy book, the Bible. Amen.” Hold up the Bible. “Does anybody know what book this is? This book is the Bible. The Bible is God’s word and it’s the truth. The bible is God’s holy book, let’s open it and see how it tells us of His love, God loves you, God loves me.

“Sheep belong to a shepherd.” Hold up picture of Jesus with sheep.

”The Shepherd loves the sheep and looks after them.” Sign “love,” make it look like a snuggle/hug. “Just like your mom and dad love you and look after you.”

“Jesus Is the Good Shepherd.” Point to Jesus in picture. Sing Jesus Loves Me, Jesus Loves Me.

“People who love Jesus belong to Him. David and Abigail and Johnathan belong to Jesus.”

”Jesus keeps His people safe and out of trouble.” Hold up picture of people.

“Jesus gives His people what they need. Jesus helps people follow Him.” Hold up picture of Jesus.

“Jesus will not lose any of His people. Emphasize this sentence, smile.

”Jesus will not lose any of His people.” Bold up both pictures.

Questions: 1) “What is this book? This book is the Bible. Who looks after His people? Jesus looks after His people.
