A perspective on moving forward in life.
To see the horizon
That place where the heavens meet the earth
The destination of every journey that is worth embarking on
The place where our domestic needs and celestial dreams are one

To feel the tug of life waiting to be lived
Like falling // forward //
Propelled
Or was it pushed?
To not see only the toes of my shoes downcast as I sojourn
Such is no way to move forward

The heart yearns for sweeping landscapes
Oh Open fields, waist high in life, waving
Hands that brush dandelions open palmed as they pass by
Launching dreams into the wind to take flight
Long elegant fingers that oscillate over the gentle brush of the foliage
Where art thou oh muse!
Such hands molded to cup my smiling cheek

The soothing sound of crunching gravel
Like a metronome ticking off the miles
Ever further from what has been
Ever closer to what shall be
