Letting go of the past and seeing a promising future.
What you said
What you did
Ignited a flame

My smile made you think
I was contented
With the choices I made
But something in the dregs of my mind
Spoke of the wretched bliss
The turmoil that manifested
In a hazy fog

I dreamed of it
The images blazed
With searing heat

In the morning
The dreams became fragmented
I knew not what was real
And what was conjured
In those dark illusions

Today your embers are fading
Into the starry night
New dreams are kindling my spirit
Thank you for teaching me
I am worthy
