You have to leave your home in a hurry, what three items are you taking with you? WC: 349
Samson was in a bit of a hurry. He was only fifteen, but his family had to leave and he was given five short minutes to grab only three things to take with him. With everyone's emergency bags already in the car, he ran to his room.

The first thing he chose was his diary. He wasn't one for writing in it, but his mother, Amber, told him how important it is to always get your thoughts and feeling out. Many of the pages were just filled with nonsense, but he got through many hard days thanks to his diary. He couldn't leave without it.

The second object he grabbed was a wooden bowl. He made it with his mama, Samantha, when they were out hiking once. A bowl is one of the most important things you can use for survival, that's what she told him. You can eat from it, drink from it, cook with it, and even use it to dig. Unsure where they were going, he knew that the bowl would be useful. Even if it wasn't, it was something he made with his mama, it wasn't something he could leave behind.

The last item he grabbed was a hunting knife. He never used it, but he kept it. His father, Dorian, gave it to him on his birthday. Dorian was autistic and wasn't much of a gift giver, that's why it meant so much to him. Samson had been going on hiking and hunting trips every so often, so Dorian got him the knife thinking it would help. He completely misunderstood what the trips were about, but the fact he put thought into it made the knife more valuable to Samson than words could say.

He ran outside to see his parents already in the car, waiting for him. He jumped in the back with his dad since his mums always sat in front, and they drove off. Whatever they were running from and wherever they were running to, he didn't care. So long as the family stayed together, he knew they'd make it through.
