Bad Sleep

I took a hit in 2018. A hard hit. It started with being over-worked in endless hours of overtime. At 58 hours a week (not including preparation time) doing repetitive motion there’s not enough rest time for the body to keep processing sugars efficiently; and believe me that will cause problems falling asleep and staying asleep.
Next problem — working that many hours, adrenaline kicks in big time to keep the body moving and to reduce muscle and joint pain; and please believe me again when I say that when adrenaline is pump’n, it will making sleeping even more difficult [like drifting off to sleep for 2 minutes then waking and remaining awake for the rest of the night, which actually happened 2 nights in a row; the second night, after my eyes opened again, I suddenly realized instinctively I had to shake my head back and forth, and it did the trick, my eyes snapped shut again and stayed shut the rest of the night … sweet dreams to me!
I’ve learned the hard way that for me, running on adrenaline is super-bad.
I’ve hallucinated 3 times from lack of some kind of brain shut-down.

My metabolism got so high for a week or 2 I was having to munch on something every few minutes: and it had to be pure protein and no sugar: ok well meat and cheese fat were ok. [I had learned deeply and intimately of my body’s needs by this time].

It was sometime late in 2017 I think when I first fell way behind on sleep. It was so bad I had to take a whole lotta really short naps before my eyes could stay shut for an hour or more: or sometimes 5 minutes. Late one night after my eyes shut for less than a second, then popped open again, and then I felt wide awake again (I think it was 45 minutes before my eyes were able to shut again): I screamed “WHY CAN’T I SLEEP?!”

It was in the spring of 2018 when things got strange upstairs (my brain). Working all the overtime I didn’t have strength to keep up my personal life and health or keep my house neat and tidy; so then my brain quit shutting down for its automatic 8 hours (thankfully that has recently been fixing itself as I get my self back up to speed *Smile* ). My brain was only shutting down for the muscles that were being used. I had lost all my endurance for being a human … thankfully as I just said that has been changing recently.
So since my “life maintenance’ muscles had eventually disintegrated; and they’d cut way down on overtime at the evening job. So, I was able to start eeking back into doin “me” stuff - leisure, yard and home chores, bodily maintenance etc.
We were still doin’ ten hour nights, but we were at least getting some weekends off. This was mid spring now. [last I heard that door cell has 3 shifts run’n it ‘round the clock].

(There is a kinda pt 2 of this but it’s not ready to come out of my brain yet)
