the brutality of factory work |
You're holding the weight of a brick… not that! heavy right? except after you've been holding that dual-action sander for ten hours against stacks of doors... now that brick feels like a cinder block right!? and after several days that never seem to end, maybe it feels more like two cinder blocks, right? you leeeeeaaan to the left, swiping with the sander, you leeeeaaan to the right, swiping with the sander, then you shift back to the left, then shift back to the right, then repeat repeat repeat repeat, but it's ok because you get to lift the sander up higher and higher then rinse and repeat and rinse and repeat, Ok I have no clue what all was gonna go into this next but I think you’ll see it in your minds eye (Ajna) now; the repetition and cramped elbows and BTW locked joint hurts like the Dam Blazes!! … oh and, BTW, this whole time .. every step you make - the title - is dragging what feels after 3 hours like a cinder block .. on each foot .. but it’s only a steel toe metatarsal work-boot, so what’s the fuss I think my sarcastic dry humor mixes in with this horribly awesomely … I hope Ok so 10 hours or more later, you get inside your house and immediately take off the boots which now weigh about 25 lbs each, undo the belt and drop the pants to the floor and suddenly feel’n a whole whole lot lot lighter, … well!? … what do ‘you’ feel like you could do now? I always felt like I could jump up through the ceiling!!! Late fall - 11/22/22 Namaste - Quiet the Wilder |
