The owl was in a reflective mood
As he stood in front
Of the First World
Parliament of animals.

Gathered together
To discuss the fate
Of the human race.

The owl said
The motion before
The parliament.

Was the elimination
Of the human race
As an enemy of nature.

At the end of that day
The parliament voted,

Declaring All humans must die
And the war of nature
Against humanity
Began in earnest.

Only cats, dogs
And horses
Voted to save
Humanity.
