Playing with my personal emotions in order to heal and grow.
It all began,
At the end of my day.
Tossing and turning while in bed I lay.
(torn in two)
And as I cried out into the silence,
What’s the point of living through the twisted lies of others?

My words kept repeating, my heart kept beating, fast.
The pain made me realize that my soul needed love to heal.
(Everything to gain)
Stuck in a perpetual loop.
I gave to improve society; I gave until I died inside.

I came around, I had found what I knew was truly real.
My pain is left in the void in my soul.
(Cut all my strings until I was alone)
I came around, I had found what I knew was truly real.
My pain is left in the void in my soul.
(Cut all my strings until I was alone)

So, I say what’s now on my mind.
I’ve swallowed so much pain, I’ve become numb inside.
(torn in two)
Turning to the left, falling to the right.
What’s the point of swallowing all of the BS?

Life’s a gift, too short in duration.
People try to step all over you if you let them.
(Everything to gain)
Although I’m beaten, battered, broken and blue.
I’ve no one to blame except my heart and mind.

I came around, I had found what I knew was truly real.
My pain is left in the void in my soul.
(Cut all my strings until I was alone)
I came around, I had found what I knew was truly real.
My pain is left in the void in my soul.
(Cut all my strings until I was alone)

I’ve got to turn my gaze away from the mirror.
Through true love I’d heal inside.
(two now one)
I’ve got to turn my gaze away from the mirror.

I need a true love for my very own.
Someone to hold.
I need a true love for my very own.
Someone to hold.
I need a true love for my very own.
Someone to hold.

Someone to hold.
