for my friend Louise

you left us in a distressed moment of despair

we wish you’d known how much we care

your smiling face and helpful ways

would cheer us up on the dullest days

we couldn’t know what pain was there

your friendship was so true and rare

We cannot think of a suitable phrase

for you Louise the end of days

for james and harry, tom and joe

geoff and di an awful blow

and you their little sunshine ray

forever in their hearts today
