Christmas Mourning Carol St. Ann There is a somberness that comes with the holidays. Time, like an army of wooden soldiers, marches across the landscape of our lives, robbing innocence and faith, leaving frenzied shopping, and drunken gluttonous feasting in their place. Guardians and loved ones, whose sincerest soulful pledges of through the years we all will be together rang through the rafters, were disallowed by the fates, and those once joyful melodious tidings sting and gouge and rip the heart out, tainting beautiful memories with longing that will never fade nor be fulfilled.
