A Limerick for The Bard's Hall Contest March 2015 |
Basset Hound Spring Walked my Basset Hound one fine March day, Spied a cat and two squirrels on our way, My dog behaved so well, That no one near could tell, All she wanted to do was to play! Took my girl on a stroll in April, Tulips in bloom, along with jonquils, A rabbit caught our eye, As he hopped and sped by, We were calm, collected and tranquil! May brought flowers, the world had blossomed, Bees buzzed, birds chirped, so danced the possums! We batted not a lash, Not for us any clash, Troubles knock on our door, we toss 'em! We are not searching for pots of gold, Dog chow's all we need as time unfolds Adventures yet unseen Stories walking on green Conquering seasons, tongues out! Behold! This poem is entered in
