Hi, I was born in Bradford, Yorkshire and joined the West Yorkshire Police in the seventies, retiring thirty years later. I have done a variety of other jobs including laboratory assistant, barman, nightclub worker, trainer and dog groomer. Married, with two adult children, I live in northern France with my wife and dogs. 'Handcuffs and Handkerchiefs' is my first attempt at a novel. It's the story of an inept British Bobby finding his feet. Funny, but often poignant and sometimes tragic it reflects the language and attitudes of the era. A sequel is at the planning stage.
