Since I was in high school I have been writing essays and poems. Last October, with the passing of my mother, I began again experimenting with prose. First, I wrote a short poem about my later mother, and I have since dabbled. With the ending of a major relationship, I began doing so again. I've enjoyed the writing so much that I decided to begin putting more time into it. Most of my other time is spent as a school counselor and therapist, as well as raising two elementary-aged boys.
