I write because I enjoy writing - the effort required and the satisfaction when a piece is finished to the best of my ability. I am an avid reader with a wide taste in literature. . I realize that I am a creature of my background so I am bound to write from an Australian, and particularly Tasmanian, perspective which can be somewhat insular. I am a retired high school teacher of business studies. I loved teaching and have recently resumed in a small way leading a small writing group in a local U3A.
