J.R. Urie was born in East Liverpool, Ohio in 1971, moved to Florida when he was eleven then immediately moved to Germany for two years. After moving back to Florida, he went to DBCC, Daytona Beach, Florida, where he majored accounting until 1993. A writer since junior high school, he published his first story, Appillion on the Cattle Ranch, in 1989 and Assassin's Vendetta is his first published novel as Inner Ghost will be the second; J.R.
