L.A.Roberts was born in Solihull, England, where she continues to spend most of her time despite doing a degree in Creative Writing at the University of Gloucestershire nearly fifty miles away. She has so far failed to find and keep a normal job and has instead filled her time volunteering at a local charity, playing instruments, brushing her dog's teeth, baking, decorating cakes and writing.
