When I first started writing, papyrus was cheap. Later it took stacks of typing paper and lots of ribbon to do it. There was that brief word processor era then everything changed again...everything except the stories. Whether on paper or on-screen a good story still paints a compelling picture. A story is a nuclear reaction of creativity. Or a bomb. Writing allows us to create diverse worlds by threading together transient ideas into a tight tapestry, building a story that stands alone. Words can reanimate a dead story into a literary monster that suddenly lives and runs amok. I prefer the later because after all, you write what you know.
