I'm a neophyte. After a writing major in college and one piece published in a now-defunct literary review, I pursued a career as an advertising copywriter while raising a family in New York City. About three years ago I went back to serious writing and have been participating in workshops, doing short stories, some of them magical realism. I love it! I want to move my writing from personal fulfillment to serious occupation and become part of the writing community.
