My greatest joy in life is being a mom. I have a 14 year old son (Carter) who has taught me much about taking life lightly. I have a 17 year old son (Zach) who died in May 2010 from a brain tumor (glioblastoma multiforme). He taught me all I know about courage. My first husband (Jason) died of a rare soft tissue sarcoma. God blessed me with a second husband (Doug) who taught me to love again. I have a dog, Lucky, who I love to run with and snuggle into while drinking my hot coffee in the morning. I also have two older children, Ryan and Darcie (Doug's children) and a grandson Ben who continually reminds me of all that is good.
