My writing passion sparked at a very young age when a grade school teacher asked her class to write a poem for the year's Young Author's book. I sat deep in thought. My mind was filled with brilliant images...and when I looked at my page I saw my first published work, "Fall Leaves". It was no great and inspiring work of art, but it was the start of my relationship with written word. From that day forward I poured my emotions into ink and lead, and devoured books with a hunger that never seemed sated. I would get lost in books, blinking out of reality and into my vivid imagination as I read on and on for hours...
